SUBSTANCE: method of operation of a coder, which does a code word (C) from a vector (x), includes receiving a vector (x), having n positions, subject to coding; detection of density assessment of multiple occupied positions from n positions of the vector (x); and adaptive switching between cording of this multitude of occupied positions and coding of multiple non-occupied positions from n positions in accordance with assessment of density of the specified multitude of occupied positions for generation of a coded value for a coded word. At the same time the coded value contains the specified assessment of density for use by an appropriate decoder.
EFFECT: provision of the method and the device for combinatory factorial pulse low complexity coding of vectors.
