FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to neurology, and is intended for predicting chronic course of stress headache in children and teenagers. For individual patient with rare episodic form of stress headache prognostic coefficient of each of 20 individual, family and social factors is determined, with "+" in case of its presence and "-" in case of its absence: individual factors - prolonged headache +7.85 or -4.54; intensive headache +5.75 or -3.27; medication overuse +6.27 or -5.21; depression +11.53 or -10.5; sleeping disorders +7.51 or -9.61; expressed vegetative disorders +7.35 or -6.08; cognitive disorders +6.52 or -4.84; low resistance to infections +5.45 or -1.36; somatic pathology +3.41 or -1.86; computer, TV addiction +4.69 or -5.76; hypodynamia +4.08 or -4.41; character accentuation +3.22 or -9.91. Family factors - family psychogenies +8.69 or -7.3; painful family - chronic headache in mother, other family members +7.6 or -5.3; high anxiety in mother +6.86 or -7.76; impaired child-parent relationship +6.82 or -7.48; low social-economic status of family +3.89 or -3.06. Social factors are large volume of academic and extracurricular load +4.85 or -5.46; school psychogenies +6.58 or -4.99; psychogenies with peers +5.49 or -2.45. Prognostic coefficients of factors are summed up. If sum of prognostic coefficients equals or is higher than "+" 13 points, high risk of chronic course of stress headache is predicted. If sum is lower than "+" 13 points, but higher than "-" 13 points, conclusion about insufficiency of present signs for making reliable prediction is made. If value equals or is lower than "-" 13 points, favourable course is predicted.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to determine probability of predicting chronic form of stress headache in children and teenagers.
