FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely clinical diagnostics in child neurology. A cerebral haemodynamics is examined by the following values: maximum systolic blood velocity (Vmax) in the main cerebral artery, circulatory resistance index (RI) in the main cerebral artery, degree of venous involvement. A prognostic coefficient (PC) is evaluated: if the Vmax value is less than 65 PC is considered to be equal to 2.8; the value Vmax 65-70 shows PC=9.73; the Vmax exceeding 70 shows PC=19.46. If the RI value is less than 0.45, PC=2.95 is stated; the value RI varying within 0.45-0.54 states PC=4.95, with RI 0.55 and more PC=14.9. A slight degree of venous involvement means PC=2.18, a moderate degree - PC=3.06, a manifested degree - PC=4.8. Then total prognostic factor is calculated, divided by 14.2, and the derived values varying within 1.88 to 2.76 enables to form chronic tension headaches.
EFFECT: method provides more reliable prediction that is ensured by examining the cerebral blood flow in great cerebral vessels.
