FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electric cable traction transport systems for urbanised environment. The transport system includes path made of one or more carrying cables rigidly connected by suspension supports with transport facilities in the form of passenger cars suspended on them by means of carriages with wheels corresponding in their number and size to carrying cables. Detachable clamps installed on carriage in their number and size correspond to traction cables resting on intermediate supports and passing over trafficway with preserving transport dimensions. The transport system is provided with two or more stations with acceleration/deceleration conveyors for passenger cars and spots for passenger loading to/unloading from them. The stations are mounted on supports over streetways with preserving dimensions for town traffic. The stations structurally consist of two or more modules integrated into multimodal complexes. At least one of the modules is equipped with lifts and escalators and represents logistic link to other types of existing urban transport. At least one other of modules is used as depot for passenger cars.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of passenger transport system.
