FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of protecting polymer materials from intense solar radiation, including ultraviolet radiation, and can be used to protect roofing materials and ethynol coating films exposed to the sun. The materials are protected using an ethynol lacquer based composition which is applied onto the ethynol coating film. The protective composition contains ethynol lacquer with colour filler in form of aluminium powder and a plasticiser - divinyl styrene latex SKS-65 or SKS-35.
EFFECT: invention improved light-reflecting properties of ethynol lacquer coating films and increases their weather resistance and longevity.
