SUBSTANCE: gamma-ray logging is carried out in an open borehole, as well as registration of background intensity of gamma radiation along the well shaft, besides, after primary gamma-ray logging the well is cased with a steel column, and repeated gamma-ray logging is carried out after 10-15 days or after well casing with a steel column the well is perforated, and repeated gamma-ray logging is carried out in 3-5 days, readings of background intensity of gamma radiation of the first and repeated measurements are compared, error is calculated, as well as dispersion, and by diversion of readings exceeding dispersion of more than 3 σ, the conclusion is made on availability of highly radioactive container rocks.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, validity of identification of highly radioactive container rocks, and elimination of radiation safety for personnel.
