FIELD: fire-prevention facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the basic design elements of fire fighting equipment, in particular, to stationary underground devices for fire-fighting with water. The input part of a fire hydrant comprises a horizontal part of the housing with the knee, the drain valve, the tap, and the tank. The drain valve comprises a drain hole mounted with the ability to shutoff and to open it. The tap is located in the input part of the fire hydrant and is mounted with the ability to shutoff the water supply to the cavity of the fire hydrant. The tank is located below the drain valve. Between the tap and the knee the ejection device is mounted. The device comprises a confuser which is made in the form of the input part of the pipe, and enters the ejector working chamber. The transition is made stepwise, with the possibility of forming vacuum area in it. The working chamber is connected to the mixing chamber, passing into the diffuser. The supply of the ejecting medium is carried out through the channel directed radially or tangentially to the circumference of the inner cavity of the working chamber and at an angle of 30°-90° to the longitudinal axis of the ejector in the direction of working medium flow. The drain valve with the drain hole is located in the tank and is made in the said center of the working chamber. The tank is located in the area of soil freezing and is made isolated for water drain from the riser and the horizontal part.
EFFECT: preventing freezing of residual or ground water in cavities of the fire hydrant.
