SUBSTANCE: invention relates to caterpillar transport facilities and may be used in wheeled chairs, Planetokhods, and off-road vehicles. Caterpillar propulsor comprises frame 1, caterpillar tracks running over drive sprocket 5, idler 6, and road wheels 7. One of said sprockets is equipped with drive with brake 8. Sprockets are shaped to equilateral triangle 9 with rim 12 and fitted off-center to engage with inner-gearing wheels 12 fixed on the frame. Drive sprocket and idler are arranged plane-parallel relative to each other.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and controllability.
