FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to elevator with cabin 1, preferably, suspended to bearing means to move in guide rails, drive with cable pulley, and counterweight. Bearing structure to transfer forces created by cabin and payload to act on bearing means and vice versa consists of two frames 2a, 2b enclosed around elevator cabin and composed of closed hollow channels. Note here that both frames are rigidly jointed together by crossbars 4 to make integral strong bearing structure. Every said frame is located symmetrically sideways from guide rail and not aligned therewith to make free mounting space nearby said rails. Said frames 2a, 2b are spaced apart so that space between them allows locating elevator guide means therein. Note also that said frames either make integral part of elevator cabin both side walls and ceiling or have their entire surface adjoining said side wall and ceiling from outside.
EFFECT: cabin takes up notable bending moments at high of-centre load.
