FIELD: transport, lifting devices.
SUBSTANCE: elevator winch interacts with lifting ropes with the help of the rope leading pulley. Note here that the aforesaid ropes have a load-bearing part twisted from wire made from round and/or out-of-round section metal and holds the back-weight and elevator cab moving in their guides. The winch weight makes approximately 1/5 of the elevator rated load. The rope leading pulley OD makes about 250 mm, the said pulley being driven by the elevator winch. Note that the elevator cab and back-weight are suspended using several sections of lifting rope.
EFFECT: smaller sizes and weight of elevator or its winch.
