FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to waste water treatment. Starting waste water is fed through a pipe 9 into the anoxic zone 2 of the aeration tank of a nitrifier-denitrifier 1. A circulating nitrate-containing liquid and recycled active sludge are also fed into the aeration tank 1 by air-lifts 8 through a pipe 7. Waste water from the anoxic zone 2 enters the nitrification zone 3 of the aeration tank 1. Aeration is carried out through aerators at the bottom. Aeration air rich in carbon dioxide gas enters gas-collecting caps 4 and 5 which are movable in the vertical plane. Clean air is output through a pipe 10.
EFFECT: invention widens the field of use of the apparatus and increases efficiency of cleaning waste water.
