FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: glaze contains the following, pts.wt: quartz sand 65-67; lead oxide 8-10; potash 6-8; soda 2-4; cobalt oxide 0.4-0.6; copper oxide 0.4-0.6; bone ash 8-10; borax 4-6. The glaze has frost resistance of not less than 10 cycles (freezing to -18°C - thawing). The glaze is molten at temperature of 1350-1400°C and fired at 1000-1050°C.
EFFECT: high frost resistance of the glaze.
