FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to glaze compositions for applying on ceramic articles for decorative and art purposes. The glaze contains the following, pts.wt: quartz sand 44-46; lead oxide 15-20; potash 2-3; soda 1-2; cobalt oxide 0.4-0.6; copper oxide 0.4-0.6; tripoli 30-35. The glaze has frost resistance of not less than 10 cycles (freezing to -18°C - thawing). The glaze has melting temperature of 1400-1450°C.
EFFECT: high frost resistance of the glaze.
