FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing compounds which contain at least one nitrile group via hydrocyanation of an organic compound containing at least one unsaturated non-conjugated bond, containing 2-20 carbon atoms, by reacting with hydrogen cyanide in the presence of a catalyst system containing a complex of nickel with zero oxidation state with at least one organophosphorus ligand selected from a group comprising organophosphites, organophosphonites, organophosphinites and organophosphines, and a cocatalyst. The method is characterised by that the cocatalyst is an organometallic compound of general formula [(R)a-(X)y-]nM-M1[-(X)z-(R1)a1]n1, wherein M, M1, identical or different, denote an element selected from a group comprising the following elements: B, Si, Ge, Sn, Pb; R, R1, identical or different, denote an aliphatic radical or a radical containing an aromatic or cycloaliphatic ring, substituted or unsubstituted, with or without a bridge bond, or a halide; X denotes an oxygen, nitrogen, sulphur or silicon atom; y, z are integers, identical or different, equal to 0 or 1; n, n1 are integers equal to the valence of elements M, M1 minus 1; a, a1 are integers, identical or different, which are equal to the valence of element X minus 1 if y and z are equal to 1, or are equal to 1 if y and z are equal to 0.
EFFECT: method enables to achieve the acceptable level of selectivity in a hydrocyanation reaction.
