FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: lignocellulose material is crushed and presoaked in water. The material is then heated in an apparatus and subjected to rapid decompression, and the mass of the reacted lignocellulose material is "shot" from the apparatus. The obtained cellulose is separated with an alkaline agent and washed with water. The material is heated using an electric heating element to temperature of 215-230°C and then unloaded upon reaching said temperature. Alternatively, the material is heated to temperature of 196-210°C and then unloaded after 3-10 minutes. The apparatus for producing cellulose has a thick-walled metal housing with a cylindrical shape, a heat supply system, a hole for feeding lignocellulose material, a device for unloading hydrolysed material, a cover and a mounting flange. The heat supply system used is an electric heating element lying on the outer surface of the housing.

EFFECT: invention avoids use of toxic, inflammable substances, reduces the total amount of reactants used and enables to use only non-wood fast-renewable material.
