FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: water is sprayed by means of nozzles and collected into a tank for water collection, and an air flow is sent towards a water torch by means of a fan, and the collector of the spray device with solid-torch nozzles is installed in the upper part of the ventilator cooling tower, and above them there is a drop catcher arranged with triple corrugation, where the air flow thrice changes direction of motion, and under the collector an irrigator is installed, which is arranged in the form of a packet of corrugated and serially connected plates with high extent of wettability, with the help of which, at the density of irrigation of 15-25 m3/(hour×m2) and air speed of 3-4 m/sec, water is cooled down to 25°C and below, at the same time water quantity, which is required to be added into the system to compensate for evaporation, is determined on the basis of water flow and difference of water temperatures at the inlet and at the outlet from the cooling tower.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of cooling tower operation.
