FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: ventilation cooling tower comprises a body, a spray device, a tank for liquid collection and a fan, and the body comprises two parts - an upper part, comprising a spray nozzle and a drop separator, between which there is a collector of a spray device with nozzles and a lower part, where a water collector tank is installed to collect cooled water with a fan installed on it. The body is manufactured from a thin-sheet stainless steel, and in the water collector tank there is a diffuser, which represents a part of the body and is connected with a fan arranged with a plastic impeller and a multi-speed electric motor, making it possible in process of operation, depending on weather conditions, to vary efficiency by changing air flow rate, and the drop separator is arranged with triple corrugation, where air flow thrice changes direction of motion, and as a result considerable reduction of drop carryover is achieved, and in case air speed in the effective cross section of the drop separator is from 4 to 4.5 m/sec, the extent of drop moisture separation makes 99.9%. At the same time the value of drop carryover makes 0.1% of water quantity passing through the cooling tower at the nominal mode, and reduction of water flow via the cooling tower reduces the value of drop carryover down to 0.05%. The collector of the spray device is installed in the upper part of the body and represents a system of parallel connected pipes, on which there are nozzles fixed in staggered order by means of yokes with locks.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of cooling tower operation.
