FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: well strainer contains perforated framework and filtering elements concentrically arranged on it in a form of disks with central hole. The disks are made of metal screen and form slots between themselves. Perforated framework is made of shaped tube of square or hexagonal shape. Between the planes of shaped tube and disks there are longitudinal channels with cross section in a form of segment.

EFFECT: provision of required fine purification of formation fluid, increase of throughput capacity and operational life of submersible pump.
