FIELD: fire-prevention facilities.

SUBSTANCE: invention is used for gaseous fire suppression that occurred in containers with flammable and combustible liquids. The gas-extinguishing installation comprises a control unit, connected in sequence the isothermal reservoir for liquid carbon dioxide to the supply pipeline and the lock-start gear, distribution devices and distribution pipe with sprayers. The lock-start gear is located outside the reservoir and is above the level of liquid carbon dioxide in the reservoir. Intake of carbon dioxide is made through the pipeline from the bottom part of the reservoir. The sprayer housing is made with the channel for the supply of liquid and comprises a sleeve rigidly connected to it with a nozzle fixed in its lower part. The nozzle is made in the form of a two-stage cylindrical sleeve. The upper cylindrical stage is connected by a threaded connection to the central core. The core consists of a cylindrical part and a conical funnel which is mounted with the annular gap relative to the inner surface of the cylindrical sleeve. The annular space is connected with the housing channel for supply of liquid. The conical funnel in its lower part is rigidly attached to the socket in the form of a frontal circular plate with radial lobes. On the side surface of the funnel the cylindrical orifices are made which axes are in planes perpendicular to the axis of the funnel. In the frontal circular plate the conical orifices are made with an angle of the vortex of cone lying in the range from 45° to 90°.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of extinguishing fire.
