SUBSTANCE: invention relates to equipment for swimmers and divers, and can be used for swimming amateurs and vacationers. The hand fin is an elongated plate longitudinally fixed to palm of the swimmer. The hand fin enables to simplify the swimming technique, making strokes with legs optional; to eliminate spurious oscillations of the body during swimming, with a particular technique it enables to involve two phases of hand movement with a fin. As optional capabilities, the present invention enables to vary more accurately the angle of attack of the fin blade in the stroke, as well as, due to high mobility of a man's hands, enables to choose the optimal rowing movements for certain tasks.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of swimming technique which includes rowing hand movements.
