FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and may be used for forming in isothermal conditions or those approximating thereto. Die assembly comprises top and bottom dies with lateral heaters and insulation, moving and fixed encased beams mounted on support plates. Die bed contour detachable heater with lateral isolation is arranged between said dies and composed of two moving sections. Cases of sections are interconnected over parting surfaces and connected with die lateral heaters over mating end surfaces. Moving heat-isolation shields of side openings are located between end heater sections. Said shields are fitted in guides secured at section cases beyond the edges of die lateral heaters. Stationary heat-isolation shields of end heater section end surfaces are arranged as-parted outside die working space.
EFFECT: higher heating intensity, uniform heat field.
