FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the ceramic industry and specifically to production of glazed single-fired ceramic tiles for inner lining. The glaze for decorating ceramic tiles for inner lining which are produced by single firing technique contains frit, clay and a mixture of quartz sand and alkaline kaolin, with the following ratio of components, wt %: frit 40.00-45.00; quartz sand 25.00-30.00; alkaline kaolin 15.00-20.00; clay 10.00-15.00. Use of alkaline kaolin in the glaze enables to reduce production cost since that component does not require treatment. Also, the absence of a treatment step enables to maintain a large amount of alkaline and alkaline-earth oxides in the composition which intensify the melting process. Intensification of melting is also achieved owing to a large amount of fledspar - orthoclase, which is a fluxing agent, in the crude alkaline kaolin.
EFFECT: intensification of the process of formation of the glaze coating during high-speed single firing while reducing production cost by using affordable and abundant materials.
