SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a fuel composition on a petroleum product which contains an acetal-based high-cetane additive which is a mixture of petroleum diesel fuel and 5-20 vol. % diethylformal as an additive.
EFFECT: use of diethylformal as an additive increases the cetane number of diesel fuel to 6 points.
