FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a drive (1) with an up-and-down road for a window or a door, in which in a body (4), made of two halves (5, 6) of the body, there is a gear (10) installed as capable of rotation. The gear (10) comprises substantially a disk-like part, a geared rim (11) of which is engaged with a geared rim (20) moved in longitudinal direction of the up-and-down rod (2). A support extension or a belt (35) is arranged on a shaped part (25), which is connected with the disk-like part. To produce the drive (1) with the up-and-down rod, which has a closed design, it is specified that between halves (5, 6) of the body there is an insert (7, 8), which is connected as a whole with the shaped part (25) via connecting links (26) cut as the drive (1) is actuated.
