FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: lighting device, having a light source (2), a ventilation unit (3) and a sealed transparent casing (4) sealing the inside (5) of the casing from the outside of the casing (4). The light source (2) and the ventilation unit (3) are located inside the casing (4) and the ventilation unit (3) is configured to generate a gas flow (6, 7) for transporting heat generated by the light source (2) to an inner surface (8) of the casing (4). The technical result is achieved due to that the lighting device is made such that temperature inside the casing spatially varies during operation, and elements of the lighting device which are located inside the casing are arranged depending on heat resistance of said elements, i.e., on heat stability or stability during heating such that elements having higher heat resistance are located in a first region in the casing which has a higher temperature than a second region in which an element having lower heat resistance is located.
EFFECT: longer service life and high efficiency of cooling.
