SUBSTANCE: system includes: a unit (110) for generating a request to identify a defined data object; an identification unit (120) for identifying a possible data object from a set of data objects based on the request; a presentation unit (130) for presenting the description of the possible data object to a user; a feedback unit (140) for receiving user feedback on a distinctive characteristic from a plurality of distinctive characteristics, the distinctive characteristic describing the possible data object; and an update unit (150) for updating the request to identify a defined data object based on user feedback on the distinctive characteristic describing the possible data object. The user can therefore evaluate the distinctive characteristic of the possible data object based on information obtained from the presentation unit and provide user feedback bearing the reason why the found data are relevant and/or not relevant to the request.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities of the system owing to the possibility of obtaining and using user feedback bearing the reason why found data are relevant or not relevant to a request.
