FIELD: radio engineering, communication.
SUBSTANCE: subscriber load of an access point may be determined on the basis of one or several load metrics related to associated terminals, throughput capacity, speed of data transfer, QoS. Being based on a certain subscriber load of an access point, resources used by the access point and/or capacity used for communication along these resources, may be scaled, being based on comparison of subscriber load of the access point with the rated subscriber load or with the default subscriber load. Centralised controllers coordinate scaling of resources with appropriate access points via transfer of return messages. Also distributed methods are described for scaling of resources, in which neighbouring points of access establish communication with each other via transfer of wireless messages for detection of local optimal proportional distribution of resources.
EFFECT: efficient management of resources for a wireless communication network, which provides for additional reduction of mutual noise or improvement of quality of service for many access points arranged in a common local area.
