SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. As described herein, a predetermined relationship between locations in a system frequency band and corresponding power recoil parameters is used to minimise spurious radiation outside the system frequency band and/or excessive noise, for example, by associating locations near one or more boundaries of the allowed frequency band with very high power recoil parameters, which is the technical outcome. As further described herein, the predetermined relationship can be known in advance for a base station and a mobile terminal.

EFFECT: systems and techniques are described, which simply management of power margin in a wireless communication system.
