FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed assembly comprises variable-profile hollow mandrel with no through holes communicating mandrel inner cavity with ambient medium secured on hollow tip, and tube to feed coolant into mandrel cavity. Shaped holes are arranged in circle on tip surface and inclined to tip lengthwise axis to increase mandrel assembly rpm. Note here that total cross-section area of holes does not exceed coolant feed tube inner cross-section area.
EFFECT: lower temperature of mandrel, rules out ingress of coolant into metal strain source.
