FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for repair of part with exposed surface defects, e.g. blisters, cracks, burnouts. Guard is made from heat resistant material with ellipse-like cross-section to follow the defect outline on part surface and provided with cover with central opening to ignite thermit mix. Guard cavity is filled with exothermal mix with binder. Partition from heat resistant material with central opening is arranged atop the guard, right ahead of aforesaid cover. Besides, said partition has equal-diameter holes arranged around central opening, their diameter being equal to cover opening to facilitate uniform distribution of pressure in cover cavity and to reduce escaping flow energy.
