FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to fusion welding of metals, in particular to thermite welding, cutting and surfacing metal structures from steel, copper and their alloys. Thermite mixture contains the following, wt.%: powdered copper (II) oxide – 40-45, electrolytic copper powder – 18-25, aluminium powder – 7-15, zinc oxide – 0.5-3.5, zinc powder – 0.5-3.5, ferrosilicon – 5-10, fluorite – 8-15.
EFFECT: sufficient fluidity of the melt is provided, at which the technological capabilities of using this thermite mixture are expanded, as a result of which the mechanical strength and electrical conductivity of the welded joint are increased; composition of thermite mixture increases stability of combustion of the mixture during the welding process, due to which a cast structure of the welded joint is achieved without pores and cavities and separability of the slag crust without additional mechanical action.
