FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: solid hammer of a universal fodder grinder is installed hingedly with the help of two stands on a rotor in a grinding chamber of the grinder. Depending on specified zootechnics requirements to quality of the finished product for different types, groups and ages of animals and birds, two, three or four solid hammers are installed on the rotor. The solid hammer comprises a hammer of rectangular shape, having an impact working surface. The impact working surface is arranged with two sharp cutting edges arranged along the impact working surface along the entire length of the hammer in parallel to the rotor rotation axis. The hammer is cast in the form of a trihedral prism with two sharp cutting edges, making it possible to grind with the "chipping-cutting" method when grinding grain material and with the method "cutting when grinding coarse fodder.

EFFECT: reduced energy intensity and higher efficiency of a technological grinding process.
