FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has a housing, light-emitting elements, a microoptic assembly, a control unit for the light-emitting elements, a lens and a first diffraction element, and is characterised by that the housing is additionally fitted with a second diffraction element similar to the first and lying opposite and in parallel with an offset relative the first diffraction element, wherein the light-emitting elements are arranged such that optical axes of light beams emitted by the light-emitting elements are parallel to each other and the distance between neighbouring light-emitting elements is determined by the formula di,i-1=D(tgαi+tgαi-1), where di,i-1 is the distance between optical axes of the i-th and (i-1)th light-emitting elements, D is the distance between planes in which the first and second diffraction elements lie, αi is the angle of diffraction of the i-th light beam from the second diffraction element and incidence thereof on the first diffraction element, and αi-1 is the angle of diffraction of the (i-1)th light beam from the second diffraction element and incidence thereof on the first diffraction element.
EFFECT: design of a controlled spectrum polychromatic radiation source having a larger portion of light collected in the output combined beam.
