DEVICE FOR BURNING SOLID FUELS WITHIN PULSATING FLOW Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC F23C15/00 F23B99/00

Abstract RU 2478873 C2

FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device for burning solid fuels within a pulsating flow includes a combustion chamber, a tube, an air intake, a fuel charging hatch, air inlets, a grid bar and an ignition device; the ratio of cross section areas of the tube and the combustion chamber, the air intake and the combustion chamber corresponds to 1:(3-4) interval while the grid bar is designed so that to enable adjustment up to 1/10 of the height of the combustion chamber from its lower transition in the form of a rod. Uniform distribution of air supplied into the combustion zone is ensured by a conic-shaped splitter consisting of at least two conic rings of identical height installed at equal distances from each other, the angle of the rings conic parts slope relative to the vertical axle positioned inside the air intake conic part being 40°-60°. Uniform distribution of air supplied into the combustion zone is ensured by usage of an underbody designed in the shape of a conic frustrum with holes uniformly distributed across the area thereof, the sum total of the said holes areas corresponding to the air intake cross section area.

EFFECT: invention enables improvement of solid fuel burning quality and maintenance of a stable self-sustained oscillation mode.
