SUBSTANCE: method of frequency division with division by three including stages, at which the following is carried out: frequency of an input signal is divided into three in order to generate the first signal C and the second signal A', which does not coincide in phase relative to the first signal C approximately by one hundred and twenty degrees, besides, the first signal C has a filling ratio of approximately fifty percent, and the second signal A' has a filling ratio of approximately fifty percent; and the value of a delay is controlled, by which the delayed version A of the second signal A' is delayed relative to the second signal A', besides, the delayed version A of the second signal A' is controlled by means of a control circuit so that it does not coincide in phase relative to the first signal C by ninety degrees.

EFFECT: reduced range of tuning of a voltage-controlled generator.
