SUBSTANCE: method of performing cell search involves receiving a primary synchronisation signal (PSS) containing a primary synchronisation code (PSC) and receiving a secondary synchronisation signal (SSS) containing a first secondary synchronisation code (SSC) and a second SSC. The first SSC and the second SSC are respectively scrambled using a first scrambling code and a second scrambling code, and the first scrambling code and the second scrambling code are linked to the PSC. The quality of detecting synchronisation signals can be enhanced and cell search can be performed more reliably.
EFFECT: high reliability of cell search.
