SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture. The method includes treating the plants with an aqueous solution of sodium selenite. And the solution of sodium selenite is applied in two stages: a phase of stem elongation of plants and a phase of milky ripeness of grain by the surface spraying of plants at a concentration of 18.7±0.01 mg/m2 simultaneously with fertiliser application.
EFFECT: method enables to increase the selenium content in wheat without revealing adverse effects on plants and mainly in the form of organic compounds, which also promotes the absorption of selenium by animal organism.
