Abstract RU 2479198 C2

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, namely to viticulture and can be used on an industrial vineyard. The method of vines training by type of two-trunk Kniffin system which is characterised by the presence of two tiers of the crown with the free overhang of continuance fruit shoots on two-wire vertical trellis. The lower tier is formed at a height of 90-100 cm from the soil surface and the upper - 60-75 above the first. Pruning of fruit vines is carried out for the length of 4-7 buds. In the method the planting of vine bushes is carried out by layout of 3×2 m. By the start of the second vegetation the unilateral four-stacked trellis is mounted - the lower wire tier at a height of 90-100 cm from the soil surface, the following three tiers respectively by 25, 30 and 30 cm. Near each bush a stake no higher than 1.8 m from the soil surface is placed. During the second vegetation the two more developed shoots are left, future trunks, the other shoots are removed. As the trunks grow they are attached vertically to the stake. By the start of the third vegetation one of the left shoots is trimmed to a height of 90-100 cm, and the second at 120-125 cm from the soil surface. Then each two shoots are left to form cordon arms, which as they grow are attached horizontally to the trellis wire. During the fourth and subsequent vegetations the shoots that developed on the cordon arms of the first tier are left to hang down freely, and the shoots that developed on the cordon arms of the second tier are fixed vertically to the upper two tiers of trellis wire, and annual cutting of annual matured shoots with 1-2 buds is carried out.

EFFECT: this method enables to obtain high yield of environmentally friendly production of grapes.
