FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can find application in procedures of active electrode fixation. The method consists in creating a bed for a cochlear implant processor and fixing an active electrode in a tunnel created at a back border of a mastoid segment of a trephine cavity, covering the active electrode with autogenous cartilage plates, performing tympanoplasty with autofascial flap. The second and third tunnels is additionally formed for the active electrode. The second tunnel is formed in a bottom wall of the mastoid segment of the trephine cavity with the upper wall left as an open shed above the tunnel. The third tunnel is formed in a spur of the facial nerve. The axes of the tunnel openings and the cochlear window are in the same plane.
EFFECT: use of the present invention allows more reliable fixation of the active electrode of the cochlear implant to provide the stable long-term electrode fixation.
