FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: simultaneous facial nerve monitoring. The epidermal lining is cut along the spur closer to the tympanic portion of trephination cavity towards the cochlea window. Trephination cavity inspection is performed. A groove for the connecting cable is formed in the cortical layer of the mastoid bone of the spur inner wall down towards the external auditory canal, skirting the trephination cavity to the back wall of the mastoid process, where a cavity is formed for excess connecting cable placement. FMT-coils are installed on the cochlea window membrane, and the connecting cable is fixed into the formed groove.
EFFECT: method allows to prevent the development of implant connecting cable extrusion inearly and late postoperative periods due to connecting cable laying outside the trephination cavity.
