FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: drum comprises axial shaft with pyramid keyed thereon and locked by nut. Said pyramid has six wedge-and-dovetail-like contact surfaces, three of said surface are connected with supports wedges while three other surface are connected with segments. Reeling forces are distributed over radial moving segments making angle of support wedge contact to pyramid surface equal to 11°, two segments - 8°, and one segment - 3°. Support wedges and segments are pressed via ring with two semi-rings fitted over key joint on hydraulic cylinder case and locked by pin. In drum operation, angle between mirror plane of support wedges and that of connection with appropriate segments is regulated.
EFFECT: higher tensioning of strips at minimum drum sizes.
