FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing light aggregates for concrete. The crude mixture for producing light aggregate for concrete contains flue ash from burning coal at thermoelectric plants and CHP plants, clay, nonabrasive silicon carbide sludge and igneous rock screenings ground to grain size smaller than 100 mcm, containing albite and/or acid plagioclase and/or potassium feldspar, with the following ratio of components, wt %: flue ash from burning coal - 52.5-68.5; clay - 20-25; igneous rock screenings - 10-20; nonabrasive silicon carbide sludge - 1.5-2.5.
EFFECT: low calcination and firing temperature of the aggregate.
