FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: in the cleaning method a toilet tank is used, the body of which is separated with a vertical partition into two compartments. Each compartment is equipped with a siphon with a control stem. Each of compartments also has one hole with a supply device for water supply and one drainage hole. Drainage holes are arranged in the second bottom, which is located above the bottom with a common drainage hole. One compartment is a compartment for pure tap water, and the other compartment is a compartment for used water. The tank is cleaned by supplying pure tap water in process of tank operation into the compartment for used water, and supplying used water into the compartment for pure water.
EFFECT: method provides for cleaning of walls in a body of a compartment, where used water was kept before, from accumulated contamination.
