METHOD OF RECONSTRUCTING POSTERIOR WALL OF EXTERNAL AUDITORY MEATUS IN GENERAL CAVITY OPERATION ON MIDDLE EAR Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology, and can be applied in surgical treatment of chronic otitis media. Essence of method lies in sanitation of middle ear, ablation of external attic wall, posterior wall of external auditory meatus, maximal opening of cells of mastoid process, revision of middle ear cavities, chain of auditory ossicles and ablation of pathologically changed tissues. Bone crests are formed on remains of upper and lower walls of external auditory meatus. To reconstruct posterior wall of external auditory meatus plates of "perfoost", on upper and lower side of which slots are cut out with scalpel, are used. Plate is installed in such a way that slots grip previously formed bone crests on remains of upper and lower walls of external auditory meatus, with complete covering of defect. After that, ossiculoplasty, myringoplasty, plasty of external attic wall with autocartilage and perichondrium are performed. Autofascia of temporal muscle is placed above "perfoost" plate. After that, meatotympanal flap is placed above aoutofascia at natural level. Tamponade of external auditory meatus is performed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to improve results of sanitation operation on middle ear, reduce number of recurrences of chronic inflammation in middle ear due to efficient reconstruction of external and middle ear architectonics with application of allotransplant "perfoost".
