FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to otorhinolaryngology, otiatrics. Sanitizing stage of the operation is carried out using a transmastoid approach. Cholesteatoma matrix is removed from the fistula of the semicircular canal. Fistula is covered with autofascia. That is followed by a high mastoid repair above the level of the horizontal semicircular canal with auto-bone chips, autocartilage plates and autofascia, covering the defect of the bone wall of the horizontal semicircular canal in a multilayer manner.
EFFECT: method enables to eliminate peripheral vertigo in the surgical treatment of peripheral vertigo in patients with chronic suppurative otitis media complicated by a fistula of a horizontal semicircular canal, preserve auditory and vestibular functions, improve patient’s quality of life.
