FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to timber barking. Timber to be barked is subjected to ultrasound radiation. Ultrasound waves penetrate through bark main layers into cambial layer to make its boil. Then, intermolecular bonds are broken to separate bark main parts from timber by hydrodynamic pressure and cavitation. Ultrasound wave effects are actuated in air to cause resonance frequencies in every layer of the bark to allow layer-by-layer destruction of the bark, bast fibre and cambial layer.
EFFECT: improved manufacturability, higher quality, reduced power consumption.
