SUBSTANCE: method of production of a compound protective element includes obtaining a multilayer polymer structure, application of on the structure of varnish, paint and photoresist masks by printing technologies and formation on the basis of the masks of conjugated holographic, printed, embossed and etched images. Application of the said masks and formation of the conjugated image is carried out in one technological cycle using holographic relief as labels for highly-accurate optical registering. The areas covered with the masks are located inside the areas with the holographic relief. The distance between the boundaries of the areas sealed with the masks, and the boundaries of the areas with the holographic relief is 50-100 microns. The protective element is put forward which comprises multilayer structure formed by the claimed method, in which different layers the conjugate images visually distinguishable are formed.

EFFECT: increased protection against counterfeiting of topographic protective elements in providing the ability of monitoring of printed images under the hologram, and simplification of manufacturing technology.
