FIELD: protective technologies for printing products.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of protective technologies for various types of printing products, including protected documents from composite multilayer polymer materials. Method of producing a multilayer polymer protected article with an identifying optically variable image with instrument-determined features is that a thermoplastic polymer film is coated with a metallized reflective layer and at least one diffraction structure in the form of a synthesized hologram comprising at least one instrument-determined element with a synthesized microrelief, providing during its illumination with laser radiation in a plane parallel to the plane of the diffraction structure, forming an image, wherein the film is partially demetallised to obtain a semitransparent film with a pixel matrix with metal removal of 65–70 % of the area in different regions and on sections free of the diffraction structure, method includes sintering all polymer layers when placing said polymer film with protective structures formed thereon into a structure of a multilayer polymer article made by glueless technology by sintering, and image recording is carried out by focused laser radiation with partial destruction of metallized diffraction grating due to modulation of intensity, duration and number of laser pulses.
EFFECT: invention simplifies the method of producing an optically variable image while enabling generation of images in one layer and high security owing to presence of instrument-determined features.
