FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: when developing a deposit of highly viscous oil, reservoir products are extracted via producing wells. As reservoir pressure reduces by 50-90%, periodically the producing well is stopped, non-heated water of the same deposit from the lower water-bearing horizon is injected into the same producing well in the amount from 400 to 3000 m3 until the pressure at the well head becomes 4-6 MPa, technological soaking is carried out for 10-30 days, and again reservoir products are extracted from the producing well with extraction intensification of 2-5 times.
EFFECT: improved oil recovery when developing a deposit of highly viscous oil.
