FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: double universal joint with internal support includes double yoke (1), two cross-pieces (2) and (3) with needle bearings (4). Both cross-pieces (2) and (3) interact with the holes of double yoke (1) by two pins (5). The other two pins (6) of cross-piece (2) and (3) interact with external yokes (7) and (8) correspondingly. The yoke (7) is made with a stem (9) and yoke (8) has a boss (10) with cavity (11) in a form of hemisphere, in which there is a ball (12). The ball (12) has a hole, where the stem (9) of the yoke (7) goes in. There is a longitudinal groove and transverse groove on the boss (10) of the yoke (8) from two diametrically opposite sides and interconnected. Longitudinal groove is located at an angle to yoke (8) axis. At the front of the boss (10) there installed is a tanged washer (10), bent ends (19) of which are fixed in the grooves. Along the washer hole contour there is an annular rib (17), internal surface of which is spherical and contacts the ball (12). The washer is made of spring steel.
EFFECT: increase of operational reliability and lifetime of double universal joint with internal support by elimination of excessive wear of spherical surfaces of yoke cavity and ball.
